In Sweet Music is Such Art: Five Centuries of Part Songs
On June 6 at the Broad Brook Community Center in Guilford, Vermont, Friends of Music at Guilford is holding their annual “A Cappella a la Carte” event: “In Sweet Music Is Such Art: Five Centuries of Part Songs,” presented by the Guilford Chamber Singers, directed by Tom Baehr.
The concert is at 7:30, preceded by a community potluck supper at 6:00. Composers familiar to many include Edward Elgar, Charles Villiers Stanford, William Sterndale Bennett and Thomas Campion. Admission is by donation.
Better yet, come even earlier by 5:30 pm for FOMAG’s Annual Membership Meeting! We always want to hear from you, and we have some important discussions to share about future plans.
